Manchester United detected Sofyan Amrabat injury after medical

Manchester United’s medical staff detected a slight back issue with Sofyan Amrabat after the midfielder completed his medical examination.

The Moroccan finally joined United on deadline day following months of speculation, but it’s just a season-long loan for now. It is believed that the deal includes an option to buy, too.

United took all summer to get a deal done for Amrabat because Erik ten Hag was waiting for other players to leave first.

That meant the medical was booked in Italy rather than Manchester because they wouldn’t have got the deal finalised in time.

During the examinations, United flagged a back issue that has been troubled Amrabat since the World Cup, as per The Atheltic.

That said, it was not deemed serious enough to block United’s move from Fiorentina.

Amrabat could make his United debut against Burnley after the international break.
