Manchester United have confirmed Sofyan Amrabat will wear the No.4 shirt this season.
The Moroccan defensive midfield, who has a keen eye for a forward pass, joined on loan from Fiorentina until the end of the season.
Amrabat wore No.34 at Fiorentina and that number is currently worn by Donny van de Beek. However, No.4 has been available since Phil Jones left earlier this summer.
In terms of club legends, Steve Bruce wore the No.4 shirt and we all hope Amrabat have can have a similar impact on the team.
Manchester United confirmed this afternoon that the No.4 shirt had been given to Amrabat.
Reports this morning suggested United’s staff detected a minor back injury when Amrabat was conducting his medical.
Erik ten Hag can’t afford more injuries with his defence already lacking options.
We’re only five weeks into the new season!
