(Video) Rasmus Hojlund expresses willingness to “die” for Manchester United

In a pre-match interview ahead of Manchester United’s trip to Arsenal, Rasmus Hojlund spoke about his desire to be a success at Old Trafford.

Hojlund joined from Atalanta earlier this summer but he has yet to make his debut for the club due to arriving with a back injury.

With a week’s worth of training with the squad under his belt, Hojlund is ready to make his competitive bow against Mikel Arteta’s side today.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Hojlund revealed his ambitions as a United player and declared his willingness to “die” for the badge.

Hojlund hopes he can hit the ground running in his new environment, but it remains to be seen if he will start against Arsenal.

There’s already a lot of pressure on his shoulders.

Anthony Martial started last week against Nottingham Forest and he was pretty non-existent before coming off for Jadon Sancho.

  1. Die For The Badge?!? This kid sounds like he belongs on Bill Shankley’s L’ilpool teams of the 1960s & 1970s; I quote ol’ Shanks, from how I remember it, not how it is now stylized by friend and foe (maybe it is only an excerpt that I am remembering, and not the whole quote;

    “Some people believe football is a matter of life and death; oh no, I can assure you it is much more important than that!!” I can still hear his Scottish twang!!

    Kid, We Are The Religion, Not Shanks’ L’ilpool!! We Do Not Expect You To “Die For The Badge”; I suspect that neither does L’ilpool these days!! But we do expect you to leave everything out on the pitch and Win Trophies For The Badge!! Regardless of how badly our ownership had soiled it!!
