Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Manchester United are finalising their opening offer for Sofyan Amrabat.
Yesterday, reports suggested that the Red Devils submitted a loan proposal to Fiorentina in a bid to comply with FFP restrictions. It was later briefed that the offer for the Moroccan had been rejected.
Romano has since rebuffed the premise that United sent the initial loan request and has instead insisted that they will table a formal offer, though the Serie A club may be open to sanctioning Amrabat’s exit on a temporary basis so long as there is an obligation to buy clause included in the terms.
It’s deadline day tomorrow – so United must move quickly in pursuit of their midfield target.
Amrabat awaiting Old Trafford move
Amrabat, 27, has been waiting on the club’s approach since June and has only had eyes for United despite garnering interest from other sides.
He will come in and play a pivotal role from the get-go and provide much-needed depth to Erik ten Hag’s options.
If its true its taken long enough for them to wake up he is what we need after another duff buy in Mount
It’s about time. I don’t know why United take so long with transfers. We could have got a result against spurs with Amrabat in our side.
Every year it’s the same with trying to move the deadwood on. The plan just isn’t working.
