Luton Town manager Rob Edwards has confirmed his club are in talks to sign Manchester United youngster Eden Mengi.
The Manchester Evening News reported earlier today that the centre-back was finalising his permanent switch to Luton Town.
Mengi, who suffered his fair share of injuries in the last 18 months, has not been able to get a chance to make it in United’s first-team. He managed just two appearances.
Edwards told the media that talks are ongoing at the moment.
“He’s someone that we like,” Edwards said, as quoted by the MEN. “There are talks ongoing at the moment, but I’ve got nothing to report.
“Before anything’s finished, I’ve got to be honest, I don’t want to talk about anyone’s players.
“He’s someone that we like, but I don’t want to go into too much detail at the moment if you don’t mind. If we can further on, then I’ll give you some more.”
