Manchester United trained at Carrington today ahead of Sunday’s trip to face Arsenal at the Emirates.
Erik ten Hag knew his squad was considerably lighter before the season began, as the likes of Tyrell Malacia, Kobbie Mainoo, Tom Heaton and Amad Diallo were all ruled out this summer. Ironically, even Rasmus Hojlund arrived injured.
Now, Mason Mount, Luke Shaw and, today, Raphael Varane have joined the list – three mainstays in the starting line-up, which is certainly cause for some concern.
The manager has no choice but to rotate this weekend when United take on their longtime rivals away from their home comforts.
