Bayern Munich poised to make shock approach for Scott McTominay, could offer midfielder in return

Bayern Munich are reportedly mulling over an approach for Scott McTominay, as per numerous outlets.

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Thomas Tuchel is a fan of the Manchester United star, while Christian Falk suggests that a potential swap deal may be on the cards; the Red Devils could welcome Ryan Gravenberch in return on a season-long loan move.

Gravenberch, 21, has been linked with United this summer and is a former prodigee of Erik ten Hag. His game time has been limited since arriving at Bayern last summer and judging by his involvement in the side’s opening fixtures, he’s in for a campaign of the same.

The Dutch international is keen on acquiring more minutes elsewhere and could lean towards a reunion with Ten Hag, whom he won three Eredivisie titles under.

Meanwhile, McTominay has fallen in the pecking order due to the arrivals of Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and now Mason Mount, so an exit may also appeal to him.
