Manchester United have oversaw a hectic transfer window and there’s still plenty of business that could get done before September 1.
So far, the Red Devils have welcomed Mason Mount (£55 million), Andre Onana (£47.9m) and Rasmus Hojlund (£64m) – all excluding add-ons – to Carrington, with the latter yet to make his debut.
For the remainder of the window, United are expected to sanction more outgoings; Dean Henderson’s move to Crystal Palace could be finalised by the end of the weekend, as he’s undergoing his medical today ahead of a £20m move (£15m up-front and £5m in add-ons). After a difficult summer, Henderson could do with a fresh start as well as a Cricbaba bonus code.
Regarding the goalkeeper’s exit, Erik ten Hag said (via ManUtd.com): “If that is the case [players will depart the club], then we will bring you news,” he replied when asked a question about goalkeeper Dean Henderson.
“We are prepared well; we are fully in control so if there are transfers, we need to keep the squad competitive because it will be a tough season with many games to cover.
“In many positions you need double and in the goalkeeping position we need three really good goalkeepers who can all keep the Premier League standard so we will cover that.”
West Ham United have reportedly re-opened talks over Harry Maguire after their initial deal collapsed earlier this month. They had a £30m bid accepted but could not reach an agreement on personal terms, with the defender waiting on a hefty payout from his club. The Irons could now look to contribute to his payoff to oversee his arrival next week.
Donny van de Beek was heavily linked with a move to Real Sociedad but the La Liga outfit can only welcome him on a loan basis, which doesn’t benefit United, as they’re looking to recuperate funds. There is a belief that other clubs may enter the fold in the coming days to try and acquire the Dutchman.
Luke Shaw’s injury – combined with Tyrell Malacia’s – has left United short at left-back. Diogo Dalot was deployed out of position yesterday as the only natural option is 20-year-old Alvaro Fernandez, who is yet to make a senior appearance for the club. Reports suggest that Marc Cucurella and Sergio Reguilon have been identified as potential suitors to fill in for the injured duo.
Ten Hag still seeking midfield addition
United are yet to table a bid for Sofyan Amrabat, whom they’ve been targeting across the summer. Fiorentina are expecting a formal approach from them soon and have consequently omitted the Moroccan from first-team training and matches until his situation is resolved.
