Dean Henderson set for Crystal Palace medical

Dean Henderson has been given permission by Manchester United to undergo a medical examination at Crystal Palace ahead of a potential move before Friday’s transfer deadline.

That is according to The Telegraph and the newspaper claims Henderson, 26, is scheduled to travel to London after United take on Nottingham Forest in a 3pm kick-off.

Forest were interest in signing Henderson earlier this summer after taking him on loan last season, but a deal never materialised and they signed Matt Turner from Arsenal instead.

Henderson could compete with a place for the No 1 spot at Palace with former United goalkeeper, Sam Johnston. He needs to playing regular football if he wants to get back in contention for the England national team.

Ten Hag did not play Henderson during the pre-season tour due to a thigh injury, but he still travelled with the squad to the United States.

The writing was on the wall for Henderson when United signed Andre Onana from Inter Milan. That’s when he knew his dream of becoming No. 1 at Old Trafford was over.

Hopefully, Henderson passes his medical and United can get some money in to help make more signings. Ten Hag needs one or two more players at the very least.
