(Video) ‘School boys’ – Roy Keane berates two United players for poor showing against Spurs

As expected, Roy Keane had a lot to say about Manchester United’s defeat on Saturday.

Tottenham Hotspur oversaw a comfortable 2-0 victory over the Red Devils on home turf and played their opponents off the pitch across the 90 minutes.

It comes after United’s unconvincing 1-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday, with their two performances of the new campaign leaving a lot to be desired for supporters.

Erik ten Hag seemingly has his work cut out in making the squad gel together, as well as which is his most prolific front three or midfield trio.

Keane voiced his concerns following the full-time whistle in North London, saying on Sky Sports: “The midfield look lightweight; decision-making, on the attack. You look at the six players high up the pitch, when you’re out of possession, they’re giving you absolutely nothing. You can almost carry one or two in your team that don’t give you much but maybe can be match-winners, but United are carrying too many players when they’re not really at it.

“And when these players from the team think, ‘Okay, I’ll forgive you when you’re not really doing the defensive stuff but you better be really good when you’re getting on it [the ball]’ – and they’re not doing that.

“I look at [Mason] Mount [and Bruno] Fernandes when they’re out of possession, they look like school boys in there. They haven’t got that physicality to get the ball back. We make excuses all the time for them, we’re told Ten Hag is a brilliant coach, well we need to see it.”

  1. MU needs to buy robust and sturdy players but they have done that so far

Shd also be strong in the air both in attack(corners) and defence in their iwn box

Otherwise they will not get into the second round in the CL competition
