Sir Alex Ferguson was full of praise for Erik ten Hag ahead of Manchester United’s season opener this evening.
The Red Devils are currently hosting Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford to kick off their 2023/2024 campaign, as the Dutch boss looks to build on a promising first term in M16.
He has bolstered his options with three new arrivals; Mason Mount, Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund.
Ten Hag certainly went up in supporters’ estimations when he ended the club’s six-year trophy drought with Carabao Cup success at Wembley earlier this year, and Ferguson has been keeping tabs on his progress.
He told NBC Sports: “Ten Hag has done a fantastic job. He brought in his own players which is important. The squad composition is very good with experienced defenders. There is a good base. They have a goalkeeper very athletic.”
