Manchester United are still in pursuit of Sofyan Amrabat despite a recent injury concern.
The Red Devils are yet to table their opening bid for the midfielder as they await more departures from the squad – namely Fred and Donny van de Beek, who are both expected to leave in the coming weeks before the window closes.
Funds that are recuperated from their exits would then be used to sign Amrabat, who is adamant about joining the 20-time English champions. Should he sign, he’d follow Mason Mount, Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund through the doors at Carrington to round off a successful summer for Erik ten Hag.
Amrabat carrying injury
Amrabat did not travel with Fiorentina to England to take part in their final pre-season friendlies, with many United fans suspecting it was because of his links to the club. However, La Gazzetta Dello Sport has reported that the actual reason was due to foot injuries, though this does not impact United’s interest in the 26-year-old.
