Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag and his players were in Las Vegas for the final game of their US tour, which unfortunately ended in 3-2 defeat against Borussia Dortmund.
UFC fighter Francis Ngannou took the opportunity to meet Erik ten Hag at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
The pair were spotted after the match greeting one another during a brief exchange, which was picked up by nearby reporters (courtesy Scott Saunders of 90min).
Ngannou was recently announced as Tyson Fury’s next opponent. The fight will take place on October 28 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
A UFC fighter vs a boxer, eh?
We’ll probably never know what Ten Hag and Ngannou discussed, but every pre-season presents opportunities like this – for our managers and stars to meet fellow athletes across the world.
I hope Ngannou can pass on some of his fighting spirit for the Wolves game which marks the start of the new league season.
