Rasmus Hojlund did not partake in Atalanta training today ahead of his imminent move to Manchester United, according to Italian reporter Alfredo Pedulla.
The 20-year-old is awaiting the two clubs to complete the necessary paperwork so he can then jump on a plane and head over to England, where he’ll put pen to paper on his five-year contract.
United agreed a fee with the Serie A side on Saturday for a £72 million package including add-ons, with Erik ten Hag finally acquiring a high-quality striker to fill the No.9 void up front.
United must be patient with Hojlund
Pressure will undoubtedly be on Hojlund as rival fans will be keeping tabs on the numbers he produces, however, the Old Trafford faithful must be patient with the youngster as he takes the time to adjust to the Premier League and a starting role.
Ten Hag may also utilise Marcus Rashford in the forward position to ensure he doesn’t throw Hojlund in the deep end and instead, deploy him off the bench for a couple of months.
