Rasmus Hojlund agrees personal terms with PSG after €50m bid

Paris Saint-Germain submitted their opening offer to Atalanta for Rasmus Hojlund on Thursday.

The €50 million bid follows Manchester United’s verbal proposal of €50m plus €10m in add-ons, which makes the Red Devils package the more lucrative of the two – on paper.

Hojlund had already agreed personal terms with United earlier this month but now, he has reportedly given the green light to the Parisians as well; RMC Sport states that the forward has an ‘agreement in principle’ with both clubs.

The report adds that Atalanta are hoping to recuperate upwards of €70m from the sale and that the 20-time English champions are ‘one step ahead’ in the race for Hojlund’s signature.

Whether or not bidding will meet their valuation remains to be seen, but given the player’s desire to take on a new venture, the Serie A outfit may be forced to lower their asking price.

Meanwhile, The Athletic report that Erik ten Hag and the hierarchy are already planning how to utilise the Denmark international in the squad and are hoping to welcome him at Carrington before the start of the 2023/2024 Premier League campaign.

  1. Same EVERY year: United try and beat down a valuation, operating from a position of no strength whatsoever.
They’ll end up saving the whole damn fee whilst PSG parade their new signing. God, how I loathe those Yankee leeches.
    Still, think Cavani’s a possibility again…

  2. One hears Hojlund is very keen on United, so could be he’s being smart and dropping hints to us that getting our a. Into g. would be a wise move. Let’s hope so.
