Paris Saint-Germain have launched a €50 million bid for Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund, as per The Athletic.
It comes after Manchester United submitted their verbal proposal of €50m plus €10m in add-ons yesterday, making their offer the more lucrative of the two.
The Ligue 1 giants are unwilling to increase their valuation of the forward and will end their pursuit if their bid is rebutted, which works well in United’s favour – even more so that Hojlund has already agreed personal terms with the 20-time English champions.
PSG have also reportedly signalled to the 20-year-old that they would pay a higher salary, but he has made it clear that he only has eyes for United as it stands.
Hojlund pushing for Atalanta exit
Atalanta want as high a fee as possible for the prospect, though they may have to lower their asking price to comply with Hojlund’s wishes.
He joined the Serie A club last summer and scored 10 goals in all competitions, as well as contributing four assists.
