Manchester United supporters are awaiting updates on Kobbie Mainoo’s fitness.
The 18-year-old has enjoyed a fine pre-season so far after being trusted by Erik ten Hag to showcase his abilities in the first-team.
This was further proven last night when Mainoo was named in a strong starting line-up to take on Spanish giants Real Madrid in Houston.
However, his night, unfortunately, didn’t go as planned. Fans were keen to stay up and watch the young prospect in action against some of Europe’s elite stars, but he limped off the pitch in just the sixth minute after sustaining an apparent foot injury.
Following the full-time whistle, Mainoo was spotted leaving the stadium on crutches and wearing a protective boot.
