Manchester United offer to pay €60m package for Rasmus Hojlund

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano understands Manchester United have made their first verbal offer to Atalanta for striker Rasmus Hojlund.

The Serie A side have set a valuation of at least €70 million on Hojlund’s head, which is a lot for a young striker who only made his breakthrough in Italy last term.

Romano believes United have verbally offered a package worth €60m for the Denmark international, which consists of €50m as a fixed fee and €10m in add-ons.

Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in signing Hojlund, which may speed up the process, but the striker has reportedly agreed personal terms with United.

A striker certainly seems like the missing part of the jigsaw this summer, after already adding a midfielder and goalkeeper to the squad.

Hojlund has lots of potential and Ten Hag clearly believes he can make him an elite striker.

Last season, United were far too reliant on Marcus Rashford for goals, so we need to see other forward players chipping in. Hojlund will be expected to do that if he joins.
