Scott McTominay is mulling over his Manchester United future with one Premier League club keen on acquiring his signature.

West Ham United have reportedly held talks with the Red Devils over a potential deal for the Carrington graduate, with Erik ten Hag valuing McTominay between £40-50 million.

United aren’t actively looking to sell him, however, they can be swayed if such a fee comes in, as it would significantly boost the manager’s transfer budget while he looks to secure a striker and another midfielder.

For McTominay, game time is a critical factor in his decision-making; he was granted just 10 Premier League starts last term and a further six in the remaining three competitions.

Game time is limited for McTominay

The arrivals of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen in summer 2023 meant the Scotsman fell in the pecking order and given that the club have just welcomed Mason Mount at Carrington as their first signing of the window, his minutes could now become even more limited.

As well as that, Ten Hag is keen to promote 18-year-old Kobbie Mainoo into the first-team setup this season and has ruled out a loan spell for the prospect. His cameos may replace those of McTominay’s.

As per Manchester Evening News, the 26-year-old will consider his situation and options leading up to the September 1 deadline.
