Manchester United have reportedly held talks with Sofyan Amrabat  – and they’ve seemingly concluded positively.

According to Italian reporter Alfredo Pedulla, the midfielder wants to join the Red Devils after speaking with representatives from the club in the past weeks and more recently, today.

If true, the responsibility now falls on United to get the deal done, as Fiorentina will grant Amrabat’s wishes and accept a suitable offer that comes in for him due to his desire to take on a new venture this summer.

It is believed that a fee of around €30 million in total (including add-ons) would be enough for the Serie A club to sanction the 26-year-old’s exit.

A bid for Amrabat is unlikely as it stands

However, United may have to wait until they’ve overseen outgoings first. Having already welcomed Mason Mount and Andre Onana through the doors at Carrington, Erik ten Hag’s transfer budget has become significantly stricter.

A prolific goalscorer also takes priority over another midfield addition and the Dutch boss has set his sights on Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund, with United expected to submit their opening bid for the striker by this Thursday, July 27.
