Manchester United ready to step up interest in Randal Kolo Muani

Manchester United are reportedly ready to step up their interest in Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani.

This news comes from ESPN reporter Rob Dawson, who claims Manchester United have fears over Atalanta’s valuation of the young Danish striker.

Reports earlier today suggested United were turning their attention to signing a striker, after closing in on a deal to sign Andre Onana from Inter Milan.

There was strong suggestions that United are preparing a bid to sign Hojlund.

ESPN understand Atalanta want €70 million, but United don’t believe that is a fair reflection for the 20-year-old who has only spent one season in Italy.

United are expected to test the waters with a formal bid for the Denmark international, but they are also working on a potential move for Kolo Muani.

After scoring 23 goals for Frankfurt last season, the 24-year-old could emerge as an alternative option to Hojlund.

There’s also a chance United could be simply briefing this to test Atalanta’s resolve.
