David Moyes was quizzed on West Ham United’s reported interest in Harry Maguire.
The England international released a statement on Sunday confirming that he would no longer be wearing the armband going forward after Erik ten Hag had informed him of his decision to choose a new captain for the forthcoming season.
Maguire’s future at Old Trafford was already uncertain but now, it only adds further speculation into the mix as to whether or not he’ll opt for a new venture.
Should he decide to leave, West Ham are reportedly among a host of clubs that would be keen on signing the centre-back – but Moyes remained tight-lipped when asked about the possibility of a potential deal.

Moyes said (via Football Daily): “Couldn’t tell you a thing because I think if we’re talking about players from other clubs under contracts – that’s not the right thing to do, so I’d never do that.
“I’ve got no idea their reasons at Manchester United for what they’ve done, so I couldn’t talk about him, no.”
