Manchester United are reportedly preparing their second proposal for Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund.

That’s according to Italian reporter Alfredo Pedullo, who adds that the Red Devils may face competition from Inter Milan and Juventus in their pursuit of the young forward.

United will ramp up their interest in negotiations after finally reaching an agreement with Inter for Andre Onana, with a €50 million deal set to be completed this week when he travels to England for his medical.

Ten Hag keen to bolster squad

A goalkeeper and a striker were two positions that were non-negotiables when it came to signings this summer, so now Erik ten Hag can turn his attention to the latter, and he has his sights set on Hojlund.

Fabrizio Romano confirmed last night that Atalanta could demand around €60 million to sanction his exit in a cash-only deal – they are not interested in any player-plus-cash bids from United.

The 20-year-old has received plaudits for his performances over the past season – namely when he scored a hat-trick on his Denmark debut.
