Manchester United are currently mulling over Facundo Pellistri’s whereabouts for next season.

According to Uruguayan reporter Fabian Bertolini, the Red Devils will extend the attacker’s contract before sending him out on loan, with FC Twente and Real Betis interested in acquiring him. His current deal is set to expire in 2025.

Pellistri has already completed two loan spells since signing for United in 2020, both of which were with Spanish side Deportivo Alaves.

Pellistri made debut last season

He was kept at Old Trafford last term and utilised sparingly under Erik ten Hag. The 21-year-old made his club debut on January 10, three years after his arrival, before going on to make a further nine appearances in all competitions.

The general reaction following his cameos was that supporters were excited about his development and wanted to see him feature more in the first team.

However, it seems as though fans will have to wait another year to see the Uruguay international line up in red again.
