Andre Onana transfer to Manchester United is close

Manchester United are closing in on a deal for Andre Onana.

That is according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, who has a track record for breaking news during the transfer window.

It’s claimed the final verbal proposal was made during talks between the two clubs on Thursday and the fee to sign the keeper from Inter Milan is ‘understood to be’ €50 million plus €5 million in add-ons.

With the deal said to be ‘imminent’, we can fully expect Onana to be part of United’s USA tour.

Romano claims Onana had his last summer in Milan at Javier Zanetti’s Botinero restaurant ahead of his move to Old Trafford.

It will be important for Erik ten Hag to get his keeper in before that to ensure that the team can begin preparations with the Cameroonian keeper.

All of this points to Friday being a key day for Onana to join United. It certainly feels like we are close to getting our man, and another signing demanded by Ten Hag.
