Former Manchester United midfielder Tahith Chong is set to return to the Premier League.

The Dutch international made 16 appearances in total for United and completed three loan spells during his time as a Red, with the final one to Birmingham City eventually being made permanent last September.

Chong enjoyed a busy season with the Midlands club across the 2022/2023 campaign, in which he started 35 Championship games and made 41 appearances in all competitions. He contributed four goals and five assists in that time.

Chong closing in on Luton move

Now, the 23-year-old is seemingly on the move again; Chong is on the verge of joining newly-promoted Luton Town in a deal that’ll see him return to the top flight and face his former club.

United will receive £1 million from the £4m fee that Luton are paying Birmingham, due to the 25 per cent sell-on clause that the board included in his contract, as per Laurie Whitwell.

Don’t spend it all at once, Erik!
