Inter’s sporting director flies to UK to accelerate Onana talks with United officials

Inter Milan are ready to accelerate talks with Manchester United regarding Andre Onana.

The Serie A club’s sporting director Piero Ausilio has reportedly flown into London to meet with United’s officials in a bid to find a middle ground in their valuations of the Cameroon international, as per CalcioMercato.

Reports suggest that Inter value their goalkeeper at £51 million but the Red Devils are unwilling to pay above £43m, leaving work to do in negotiations.

One remaining stumbling block in Onana talks

Personal terms are already agreed with Onana and United, with the player keen to reunite with his former coach Erik ten Hag, so a transfer fee is the final hurdle in getting the deal over the line.

Inter are keen to reach a swift resolution so they can then use the funds to acquire a suitable replacement.

Onana, 27, has been sought as David de Gea’s successor, which may take some getting used to for fans, as the Spaniard filled the role between the sticks for 12 years at Old Trafford.
