Manchester United could use out-of-favour frontman in deal for Harry Kane

Manchester United are reportedly still in pursuit of Harry Kane and could use their own players to try and bring the forward to Old Trafford.

An out-and-out striker would’ve been top of Erik ten Hag’s wishlist heading into the summer transfer window and currently, it’s looking like that may come in the form of Atalanta starlet Rasmus Hojlund.

It is believed that the Dutch boss may even look to add another No.9 to the ranks even if a deal for Hojlund is sanctioned, and United could reignite their interest in Tottenham Hotspur and England’s all-time top goalscorer, Kane.

Daniel Levy is unwilling to sanction the exit of his star frontman, however, he may be more open to the idea if players are sent his way.

Spurs eye Martial deal

Football Transfers has reported that the North London club remain interested in Anthony Martial, having almost signed the Frenchman prior to his United move.

Whilst it may be unlikely, United may opt to use the 29-year-old in a player-plus-cash proposal that sees Kane end up at Old Trafford.

Ten Hag is keen to see the back of Martial after another injury-plagued season and so would be open to the idea of using him to the club’s advantage.
