Manchester United prepare £50m bid for Danish striker sensation Rasmus Hojlund

Rasmus Hojlund is considered one of the best young strikers in Europe right now after an impressive breakthrough season in Serie A.

Manchester United need to sign a goalscorer this summer, but Hojlund is still a very young prospect. That doesn’t change the fact he is probably the best option we have in the market this summer.

Erik ten Hag has to work with a restricted transfer budget because of financial fair play considerations but United believe they can deliver Hojlund this summer.

According to The Telegraph, United will bid to make young Atalanta forward Hojlund their new first-choice striker and believe they can get him for £50 million.

The report states the deal might have to wait for resolution in the Glazer sale process, which is a different line than what they’ve briefed about running out of funds for other deals. Usually it’s down to FFP rules or player sales.

Hojlund, 20, scored nine league goals in 32 games last season and is regarded as a player with a high ceiling for growth, in terms of improving as a top player.

On the international stage, Hojlund already has an impressive record with 6 goals in 5 games.

A move to Old Trafford would see his stock go through the roof.
