Manchester United will allow Hannibal Mejbri to leave the club on a permanent deal this summer.

The 20-year-old has spent the past season on loan at Birmingham City, making 38 Championship appearances across the term. He scored his first senior goal and picked up five assists in that time.

After joining United in 2019 from Monaco, Hannibal made his debut for the club on the final day of the 2020/2021 campaign when he replaced Juan Mata in an away clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

He made two further appearances in the later stages of the following season against Liverpool at Anfield and Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, the latter of which he was named in the starting line-up for the first time.

Dortmund eye Hannibal deal

Now, it looks as though the Tunisian will be taking on a new venture elsewhere as he looks to build on an impressive breakthrough season in senior football.

According to Manchester Evening News, United will listen to all offers that arrive for Hannibal over the coming weeks.

Borussia Dortmund have already signalled their interest and if it’s up to the player, he’d certainly opt for a move to the Bundesliga club; they are renowned for their ability to develop young talents into hot prospects by giving them adequate game time and first-team opportunities.
