David de Gea is seemingly growing as tired of the constant speculation as Manchester United fans are.
The Spaniard has been among the headlines in recent weeks as the end of his contract looms. De Gea’s current deal will expire in just three days and there is yet to be an extension signed that would see him extend his 12-year stay at Old Trafford.
Yesterday, news broke that the goalkeeper had in fact put pen to paper on a new contract with reduced wages and was just awaiting the board to sign off on it.
However, United then pulled out of the proposal as they still deemed the tabled salary too high – quite a poor way to treat such a loyal servant to the club, regardless of his latest performances.
