Manchester United fan group The 1958 have announced plans to protest the Glazers’ ownership on Tuesday, coinciding with the release of next season’s home kit.

The plans come as the takeover process enters its eight month, and fans are running out of patience with the Glazers, who they have protested against for 18 years.

The 1958 have announced they will have a presence at the club’s megastore on Tuesday morning.

Fans are asked to arrive before 9:45am which is when a legal protest against the Glazer family will take place.

With leading bidders Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe awaiting exclusivity, nobody knows what is really happening behind the scenes at United.

The manager deserves clarity on the situation and so do the fans.

We’ve always been supportive of the protests led by The 1958, however, the timing of this one seems a bit off with a lot of people working on Tuesday morning.

There’s also going to be children at the megastore on Tuesday hoping to get the new shirt, and there’s nothing we can do to stop that. Their parents provably saved for weeks to buy the shirt and young United fans shouldn’t feel intimidated.

Especially when our fight against modern football (greed, sportswashing, and other forms of evil) is to benefit these young fans and future generations.
