Manchester United are reportedly willing to double Andre Onana’s current salary if the Cameroon international leaves Inter Milan.

The Reds appear to be at a crossroads with current No.1 David de Gea, with the Spaniard’s contract set to expire by the end of the week.

Inter Milan’s Onana, who Erik ten Hag had at Ajax, is tipped as United’s preferred choice to replace De Gea as first choice keeper.

According to La Gazetta dello Sport, Onana currently earns €3 million per season and United are willing to more than double that amount should he switch the San Siro for Old Trafford.

United need to reach an agreement with Inter Milan, but it shouldn’t be difficult to persuade Onana to join the Reds.

The report states that Inter are looking for €50m to £60m for Onana, while it also claims United are in a hurry to find out whether De Gea will move to Saudi Arabia.

United have yet to make an offer for Onana, but are in the process of selling Dean Henderson.

If Nottingham Forest sign Henderson, United should recoup more than half of what it would cost to sign Onana.
