Manchester United have seemingly dropped a subtle hint over which attacker will be given the lucrative No.7 shirt number next season.
On the official club app today, United shared a quiz for supporters including 10 questions on young starlet Alejandro Garnacho.
Fans have since interpreted the wording as a sign that Garnacho will be the club’s new number seven starting from the 2023/2024 campaign.
The number has been inactive since Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure in January, with the fanbase believing a potential suitor may have been Jadon Sancho, given that it was his number during his time at Borussia Dortmund.
However, the young Argentinian has perhaps pipped him to it after his scintillating breakout campaign last season.
United’s new home shirt will be released next Tuesday, June 27, so the club will likely provide more clarity by then.
