Lisandro Martinez is continuing his recovery from the metatarsal injury he sustained in April.
The issue kept the Argentine sidelined until the end of the season, meaning he missed several crucial games for Manchester United as they saw out their campaign.
Martinez was the definition of an instant impact signing – the difference he made to the United backline was pivotal, hence why supporters were left so concerned when he initially left the pitch injured.
However, now fans are already looking forward to seeing him back in action. Reports have suggested that the 25-year-old will be fit in time for the Reds’ pre-season tour, which kicks off on July 12.
He shared a brief update this afternoon on his Instagram story, showing that he was back in the gym and in United training gear.
