Ally McCoist says he feels sorry for Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho.
Speaking to talkSPORT, the former Scotland international gave his verdict on Sancho at Manchester United.
It is no secret that the 23-year-old has struggled since his transfer from Borussia Dortmund in 2021.
Erik ten Hag used Sancho sparingly throughout the season, but the England international showed better form towards the end of the season. But is it enough to persuade Ten Hag to keep him?
Sancho has already been linked with a move away from United this summer, with reports suggested that Tottenham are interested.
McCoist believes Sancho needs to leave United, which could suit an interested club like Tottenham. He said: “He hasn’t shown enough at all. You’ve got to find a way to overcome it.
“There’s a million excuses out there if you want to go and look for them.
“The fact is you’re not going to get game time if you’re not showing the manager in training that you can do a job.
“I feel sorry for him, he’s got to get away and get his career back on track and honestly I don’t think it would be a bad thing if he went back to where he came from.”
“He should go back to Dortmund!” ⚫️🟡
“I feel for the lad. It hasn’t worked out. Why not go back to where he was playing best?”

It would take a sizeable offer for United to cash in on Sancho, though we shouldn’t expect to make a profit on the amount we paid Borussia Dortmund.
Ten Hag has said nothing to suggest he doesn’t want Sancho and it’s important to remember that when reading speculation over his future.
