Manchester United are reportedly unlikely to pursue a move for Brighton and Hove Albion’s Moises Caicedo.
According to Ben Jacobs, Arsenal and Chelsea are both preparing their respective proposals for the Ecuadorian midfielder.
Chelsea and Arsenal will pursue Moises Caicedo. Nothing too significant in the #MUFC links. Understand It's going to take at least £70m guaranteed plus £10m in add ons. No bids placed yet. pic.twitter.com/7hucDumR4y

His update adds that currently, there is “nothing too significant” between Caicedo and the Red Devils, who have been linked with him for several months.
Th 21-year-old received plaudits across the 2022/2023 campaign for his pivotal impact on Brighton’s emphatic season, in which they secured European football for the first time in their history with a sixth-placed finish.
Roberto De Zerbi turned down offers from both the London clubs in January as he was keen to see out the term with his star players. Now, he has accepted that several figures wish to pursue other ventures this summer, hence Alexis Mac Allister’s recent move to Liverpool.
United’s poor transfer business strikes again
United’s idleness in the race for Caicedo is frustrating, but not as frustrating as knowing the club could’ve signed him for €5 million back in 2020. They were in complete control of the situation and he wanted to move to Old Trafford, however, the board failed to oversee a transfer.
Still the same situation about Moises Caicedo. Man United are in contact with his agents and ‘control’ the situation – the player would love to join #mufc and his contract won’t be a problem. Now it’s up to the club. It’s not a done deal (yet?). 🔴 #transfers https://t.co/js1lLvudtM

Now, he’ll leave for around £80 million in total and to a Premier League rival. Ouch.
