Gary Neville lambasts Glazers in latest Manchester United takeover rant

Manchester United fans are understandably becoming frustrated over the takeover process.

As things stand, the Glazers’ refusal to so far accept an offer from Sir Jim Ratcliffe or Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani looks like a blatant attempt to create an all-out auction.

Instead it is a farce.

Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville has hit out at the Glazer family with another rant (Neville hasn’t been shy — in recent years — when it comes to criticising the Glazers).

Neville has accused them of sucking the energy out of “everything they do” and claims he understands just how the fans are feeling.

“Honestly, I think everyone has got to the point whereby what the Glazers do, they erode every little bit of energy out of everything that they do,” Neville said, as per the Belfast Telegraph.

“The fans have had enough, they want them out and I think, to be fair, it’s sad, really, that it’s come to that but that’s exactly how I think everybody feels.

“They know nothing about Manchester or the north west of England and the tradition of football in this part. They have not embedded themselves in the local culture.”

Neville sums up the situation rather well and the regular briefs from the bidding process only makes people more impatient. In fact, it’s now a tiresome saga and the transfer window is just around the corner.

Ratcliffe, who wants to secure majority ownership of the club, is being reported as the preferred bidder by some media outlets. Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim wants a full takeover.
