Manchester United are reportedly ready to make a move for England No 1 Jordan Pickford – whether David de Gea leaves or not.

Erik ten Hag is looking to sign a top rated goalkeeper to either compete with David de Gea or replace him if he does not agree to a new contract at the club.

According to talkSPORT, Jordan Pickford is the man at the top of United’s goalkeeper wish list and Everton may sell him for around £30 million.

The 29-year-old played a big role in Everton keeping their Premier League status for next season after a near miss in terms of relegation.

In turn, Everton need money and manager Sean Dyche could look to cash in on Pickford.

I think it goes without saying that a move to United would interest Pickford. It would mean he’d be playing Champions League football for a team that is looking to fight on all fronts next season.

Meanwhile, De Gea has an optional year on his contract which is set to expire this summer. United’s preference would be to give him a new deal on a smaller salary.
