David de Gea garners interest from Saudi Arabia amid contract talks with Manchester United – report

David de Gea is the latest subject of interest in the Saudi Arabian swoop of Europe.

Today, Karim Benzema completed a big-money move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad, where he’ll earn an eye-watering €200 million per season.

The club are also expected to reach an agreement to sign Chelsea fan-favourite N’Golo Kante imminently, with talks rapidly progressing throughout the day.

De Gea linked with Saudi move

Wildly, De Gea is one name among the list of players being linked with a move to the Middle East, which obviously sparked some United supporters with the hope that he may agree a move away.

However, 90min reports that while the speculation may complicate De Gea’s current contract situation, he is expected to put pen to paper and commit his future to the Red Devils.

The Spaniard is currently the team’s highest earner on a whopping £375,000 per week, though this is expected to reduce significantly in his new terms.
