Manchester United are working on a deal to sign Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount.

Earlier this week it was reported that Manchester United had reached an agreement over personal terms with the England international.

On top of that, discussions between Manchester United and Chelsea are underway.

According to Football Insider, United are working on finalising the signing of Mount by the end of the week.

The report claims Chelsea are looking for close to £70 million for Mount after initially asking for £80 million.

However, with one year left on his current deal, it would be madness to pay anything over £50m.

Mount has already made his mind up about wanting to come to United, so it’s surely on a matter of time before he is signed up.

It makes sense to get our business out of the way early, too.

Football Insider also claims that Mount, who currently earns £80,000-a-week at Chelsea, could earn around £200,000-per-week at Old Trafford.

They also reiterate claims that United are looking to reach an agreement by the end of the week.
