Ten Hag puts pressure on United hierarchy to sanction Harry Kane deal

Erik ten Hag has his sights set on Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane.

A deal for the 29-year-old won’t come easy, as Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is unwilling to oversee the departure of the club’s all-time top goalscorer.

Levy also does not want to see Kane make the switch to a fellow Premier League rival, but with him chasing Alan Shearer’s record of 260 league goals, a move away from England seems unlikely in Kane’s eyes.

According to The Telegraph, Ten Hag is asking the United board to “show ambition” by actively pursuing the England international.

Kane to United – perfect for all parties

For the Red Devils, Kane is a perfect fit; a team which struggles to find the back of the net recruiting the man who is potentially the best in the Premier League at doing exactly that.

He finished this campaign with 30 goals to his name, despite Spurs having another substandard season on the pitch. Without him, you’d wonder where in the table the North London club may have finished.

Silverware has always eluded Kane and he’s made it clear throughout his career that trophies are what he desires.

Meanwhile, Ten Hag guided his side to Carabao Cup success just months into his tenure and could add another FA Cup to the trophy cabinet if the Reds reign victorious at Wembley tomorrow afternoon.
