United await bid from Premier League club for Harry Maguire this summer

Manchester United are reportedly expecting West Ham United to reignite their interest in Harry Maguire this summer.

That’s according to a report from ESPN, which confirms that the Irons enquired about Maguire’s availability in the winter transfer window.

United were seemingly unwilling to let their club captain leave midway through the season, but Erik ten Hag will grant him an exit if it’s what Maguire desires across the summer.

The manager is not against keeping him for the 2023/2o24 campaign, however, he understands that the defender may seek more game time elsewhere, having fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford.

Moyes eyes Maguire deal

David Moyes looks set to keep his place in the dugout after keeping the Hammers in the top flight for another term, as well as reaching a European final in the form of the Conference League.

Adding a figure like Maguire, who is experienced and has leadership capabilities, may provide added stability to West Ham’s backline.

Given the constant scrutiny he receives as a Red, a move away from Old Trafford may benefit the 30-year-old the most in a bid to start afresh.
