(Video) ‘We want more’ – Ten Hag outlines the high standards he has instilled at Manchester United

Manchester United are on the back of securing a top-four finish and therefore, Champions League qualification, with a 4-1 win over Chelsea.

Now that the league position is all but wrapped up, it adds to a pretty successful first season of Erik ten Hag’s tenure.

He ended a six-year trophy drought when United reigned victorious at Wembley back in February by winning the Carabao Cup, and they have the FA Cup final looming next Saturday against Manchester City – a chance to add another trophy under his belt.

The Dutchman is not satisfied just yet though, as it’s just the beginning of his project at Old Trafford.

Speaking via Football Daily following last night’s game, Ten Hag said: “I always set high expectations of myself. This club belongs in the Champions League so you have to qualify in the first four, but this league is very strong. Many clubs, many teams who are competing for a position and they all can do it. So we are happy [that] we are in the first four.

“I think we played a good season in the Premier League, I think, a very good season. This is for the moment the maximum, but we want more.”
