Manchester United have booked their spot in next season’s Champions League.

The Red Devils overturned Chelsea 4-1 at Old Trafford with a dominant and comfortable performance against the 12th-placed side.

Goals from Casemiro, Anthony Martial, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford sealed all three points on the night and moved United up to third in the table, where they can finish the campaign with a win against Fulham on Sunday.

A top-four finish would’ve been a non-negotiable on Erik ten Hag’s list of targets for the season when he took over last summer, so achieving that, ending a six-year trophy drought and reaching another final, in which they can lift a second piece of silverware, wraps up a resoundingly successful first term for the Dutchman.
