You would be forgiven for forgetting about Brandon Williams this season.

The full-back returned from a decent loan spell at Norwich City last year and would have had hopes for more game time under Erik ten Hag, but it hasn’t quite worked out that way.

Williams’ 2022/23 season was hampered by a long-term injury and he’s only got 5 minutes of action all term.

On a side note, Erik ten Hag has said nothing to suggest Williams has a future at United – or anything of the contrary either, to be fair – and there’s more reasons to sell than keep.

Williams will wait to see what offers he has in the summer, but a report from Tuttomercato claims Serie A outfit Fiorentina are interested in signing the full-back on loan next season.

It is also suggested that Fiorentina could offer a loan package which includes an option to make it a permanent deal the follow year for €5 million.

We expect United to move on a number of players this summer, and I’d go as far as saying I would be shocked if Williams was kept. It would be best for both parties to go their separate ways.
