Andy Cole names his Manchester United Player of the Season

It’s that time of the year again; when we get the chance to pick and debate our player of the year.

Securing top four and winning the FA Cup remains a priority for Manchester United, but I think we’ve all seen enough to be able to vote for our Player of the Season.

Fans could raise arguments for a number of players, but former United striker Andy Cole has opted for Marcus Rashford, who has scored 29 goals across all competitions this season.

“I’d go with Marcus [Rashford],” Cole told Stretty News. “I know Luke Shaw has done extremely well but without Rashford’s goals we wouldn’t find ourselves in the position we find ourselves in.

“I think his goals have been massive for Manchester United this season.

“I think we’ve lacked goals all season but I think it has to be Marcus for the way he’s come back.”

Under Erik ten Hag’s management, Rashford has rediscovered his best form and fans are eager to see him sign a new long-term deal at the club.

That is something that could not be said throughout last season, especially when Ralf Rangnick took him Rashford of the team for Anthony Elanga.

Rashford’s goals have dried up in recent weeks but he will be looking to return to the scoresheet on Thursday night when Chelsea visit Old Trafford.
