United learn asking price of 20 y/o starlet amid Ten Hag’s striker search

Atalanta have outlined the minimum price they would accept for Rasmus Hojlund this summer.

Jacque Talbot reported today that the Italian side are keen to keep the 20-year-old for another season and if they did, they expect Hojlund’s price to double in 2024.

Currently, it is believed Atalanta will demand “north of” £60 million (at least) in the forthcoming transfer window.

Speculation circulated this week regarding United’s interest in Hojlund as Erik ten Hag looks to acquire a prolific No.9 ready for the 2023/2024 season.

United in dire need of a prolific forward

Goals have come few and far between for the Reds this term and the most have come from left-winger Marcus Rashford.

Anthony Martial has endured another injury-stricken campaign, contributing just five goals in the Premier League, and Wout Weghorst’s loan spell has been nothing short of substandard, with him finding the back of the net just twice in 29 appearances.

Harry Kane is another name on the shortlist, though whether or not he’ll depart Tottenham Hotspur for a league rival remains to be seen, and Daniel Levy certainly won’t want to see his star man leading the line at Old Trafford.
