20 y/o attacker ‘dreams’ of playing in Manchester United’s first-team under Ten Hag

Manchester United youngster Amad Diallo is adamant about staying at the club and playing in the first-team next season.

The 20-year-old will be returning to Old Trafford imminently after spending the campaign on loan with Sunderland, who narrowly missed out on promotion to the Premier League despite reaching the play-off semi-finals.

Amad finished the term as the Black Cats’ top goalscorer with 13 Championship goals to his name and a further three assists.

He was an electric addition to Tony Mowbray’s side and became a fan-favourite for his skilful dribbling, pace, outstanding finishing, attacking threat and contributions – all of which Erik ten Hag would have been taking note of.

Ten Hag faces decision on Amad future

Over the summer, the Dutch boss must decide on where Amad’s future lies for 2023/2024. Another loan spell would only add to his experience and development but to be honest, he looks ready as it is. However, he will want adequate game time given the starts he was granted over the past months.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Ivorian starlet “dreams” of playing in the Red Devils’ first-team next season.

As well as that, the club are “advancing” in talks with another exciting prospect, Facundo Pellistri, regarding a contract extension until June 2028.
