‘Many quality players want to come’: United fans will love Ten Hag’s promising transfer admission

Erik ten Hag has sent out a promising transfer admission ahead of the summer transfer window.

The manager was quizzed on the prospect of transfers and his current rebuild in the squad at Old Trafford during his pre-match press conference for this afternoon’s outing against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

A reporter suggested that last summer, players may have been more apprehensive to sign for the club given that they had not qualified for the Champions League this season.

It clearly didn’t scare them off too much, as Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez, Antony etc. Have all proven to be outstanding additions, with each of Ten Hag’s signings playing crucial roles this season.

Still, Ten Hag is confident that players are keen on joining his lucrative project regardless of European involvement.

The Dutchman said (via MUTV): “It looks like there were a lot of reservations last year, a lot of doubts when we approached players. This year, many quality players really want to come.

“They [transfer targets] are really keen to come, I’ve noticed that.”

Ten Hag’s hands tied over transfers

Currently, though, Ten Hag does have his hands tied whilst scouring the transfer market as United’s ownership situation is still yet to reach a conclusion, meaning a budget is likely yet to be communicated to the manager.

It has emerged this evening, however, that Sir Jim Ratcliffe may be emerging as the preferred bidder over Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani.
